STAY AWAY FROM THIS LYING SACK OF POOP!
UNFINISHED JOB!  SAYS "ACCEPTING CASH IS ILLEGAL" AND VOIDS THE FLOOR WARRANTY.
POPS PILLS.  NEVER ON TIME. NEVER STOPS YAPPING ABOUT HIS PROBLEMS.

I've never heard of a cash payment voiding a warranty.
I took many, many cash payments. Noted it on the contract as a receipt or if they preferred, gave them a separate receipt. Notating it on the contract was the best for my clients as they didn't have another piece of paper to lose. Then deposited it in my company account and stapled the deposit ticket to my copy of the contract. Made it easier for my bookkeeper to track account  payables. The manufacturer doesn't know how the materials are paid for, or care.

Hopefully you didn't pay in full if the job is still unfinished. Contact an Attorney either way.

File a complaint with the BBB, even if he's not a member you can still file a complaint.

Be careful about the popping pills statement. When I was still in the trade there were times I had to take prednisone, vicodin or an antibiotic for an injury or illness, but was still capable of doing my job, or at least be on site to supervise my employees.

All Contractors at sometime or other have problems, either with a previous client or family, etc. but you should not have to put up with hearing them. That is a sign of not being  professional. I wouldn't even tolerate an employee cursing while on a job-site.

However stern your warning, thanks for chipping in.
